Angelina Jolie in ‘The Tourist’: First Look

Angelina is back to work filming her latest thriller The Tourist in which she co-stars with Johnny Depp.

This character seems so much different from her last role as a CIA agent Salt as there’s so much glamour and style in her outfit for the scenes she’s been shooting in Paris, France, for the last two days.

The released photos show Jolie sans Depp as he kicked off principal photography in Venice, Italy.

In The Tourist Angie plays an Interpol agent in Europe who manipulates an American tourist in an attempt to flush out an elusive criminal who was her former lover.

The movie is a remake of 2005 French film Anthony Zimmer and is based on the bestselling novel by Patricia Cornwell. Fans of the book have been quite vocal about the new movie declaring their strong disagreement with the choice of the lead star. Most of the fans say they’d rather see Jodie Foster play the part, though Jodie turned down the offer in the first place. According to fans, Jolie is “too glamorous” and “exotic” looking for the lead female character.
